International Women's Day Limited Release

International Women's Day Limited Release

Since its inception on March 8, 1910, International Women’s Day has served as a global platform for women to advocate for their rights and celebrate their countless achievements, both large and small.

As the oldest working distillery in Scotland, with a rich history dating back since 1763, The Glenturret has been privileged to employ many exceptional women over the years.

Today, we proudly boast a team of 33 talented and dedicated female staff members across various departments, from production to our Michelin-starred kitchen, visitor centre, marketing department, and office team. These remarkable women comprise approximately 50% of the driving force behind The Glenturret’s portfolio.

To celebrate International Women’s Day (Friday 8 March), The Glenturret has undertaken a special initiative. Collaborating with Edinburgh-based Graphic Designer Amy Jacobs, the brand has created a bespoke, one-off 12 Years Old whisky label featuring the names of all 33 female employees.

This label will adorn a bottle of The Glenturret 12-Year-Old 2023 release, which will be auctioned off by Whisky Auctioneer in April, with proceeds benefiting The Prince’s Trust: Women Supporting Women initiative.

Established in 2018, Women Supporting Women at The Prince’s Trust aims to empower young women facing disadvantage and adversity, helping them transform their lives through confidence-building support, job opportunities, education, and training.

At The Glenturret, we take pride in our exceptional company values, rooted in respect and appreciation for all members of our team, as well as our external partners, clients and guests. We are committed to making a positive impact on the world around us by fostering a supportive work environment and contributing to our community.
