This Data Privacy Notice applies to Lalique Group worldwide for all personal information we collect when you either visit one of our official websites or our Lalique boutiques to buy goods or services from us or which you give to us when you provide us with your goods or services.

Scope and amendment of the Data Privacy Notice

This Data Privacy Notice applies to all companies of the Lalique Group, which means for Lalique Group SA including The Glenturret and all of its subsidiaries and their employees.
The Data Privacy Notice covers all processing of personal data.

In countries where the data of legal entities are protected in the same way as personal data, this Data Privacy Notice equally to the data of legal persons. Anonymized data, e.g. for statistical evaluations or investigations, are not subject to this Data Privacy Notice.

Our Data Privacy Notice for the use of our websites and the Data Privacy Notice of the Lalique Group does not apply to your activities on the websites of social networks or other providers, which you can reach via the links on our websites. Please inform yourself on the websites of these providers about their Data Privacy Notice.

We may occasionally make changes to this Data Privacy Notice. You should review this Data Privacy Notice before you provide us with your personal information, and occasionally verify that you are aware of the most recent version of any access you may make to this website
or the purchase of our products.

What information do we collect?

We collect personal information about you (such as your name, address, email address and telephone number) when you make an enquiry, sign up to our newsletter or purchase products from us or offer to supply us with goods or services, in the context of a registration, submitting a contact form, a survey, a competitive bid or for the execution of a contract, and in these cases only to the extent that we have received your consent or according to applicable legislation (further information see below under section "Legal Basis of Processing").

Email marketing campaigns published by us may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscribed activity is tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. Used to monitor visitor traffic and behaviour on the university websites. This enables The Glenturret to estimate more accurately the number of visitors to particular pages and plan for volumes of usage.

In addition, Google Analytics now has the ability to tap into data collected via remarketing and the Google advertising network (as described below). No user will be personally identifiable, however this service will collect information about gender, age and areas of interest where appropriate.

Remarketing advertising features

The website uses third-party cookies, particularly click-track cookies, to better understand the interests and sessions of the users. These cookies are used to
display advertisements on third-party websites based on user interests and sessions, which is referred to as "retargeting" or “remarketing”. With the advertisements The Glenturret aims to show the products that may be of
interest to the customers.

This technology does not store

Who do we share your personal information with?

Retention Periods

We store your personal data on secure servers for a period of:

  • personal information held in sales contract information - 10 years from the delivery of the products or the last transaction
  • until you ask us to destroy it

In each case unless the law requires us to store the data for a longer period.

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

Insofar as you have given us consent to the processing of your personal data, this constitutes the legal basis for the processing (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

For processing of personal data for the purpose of initiating or fulfilling a
contract with you, the legal basis is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

Insofar as the processing of your personal data is necessary in order to fulfill our legal obligations (for example to store data), we are entitled to do so in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

In addition, we process personal data for the purpose of exercising our legitimate interests and legitimate interests of third-parties in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Maintaining the functionality of our IT systems, but also the marketing of our own and third-party products and services and the legally required documentation of business contacts are such legitimate interests.

Your rights

As a person affected by data processing, you have the right to information (Article 15 GDPR), correction (Article 16 GDPR), data deletion (Article 17 GDPR), limitation of processing (Article 18 GDPR) and data portability (Article 20 GDPR).
