2022 Core Range Receives Master Awards

We are delighted to announce that The Glenturret 15 Years Old and The Glenturret 7 Years Old Peat Smoked from our new 2022 Core Release have won Master awards at The Spirits Business Global Luxury Masters competition.

The Glenturret 7 Years Old Peat Smoked secured a Master medal for its 'very silky texture' with flavours of 'dried currants, caramel and smouldering smoke'. Fellow Master winner The Glenturret 15 Years Old offered a 'lovely resinous quality' on the palate, with 'warming spice, medjool dates and gingerbread'. 'Super complex and balanced – very delicious,' the judges agreed.

Both The Glenturret 10 Years Old and The Glenturret 12 Years Old received Gold medals in the Super Premium Single Malt Scotch Whisky category.

15 YEARS OLD

The Glenturret 15 Years Old steps out on its own to deliver something different within our range. The influence of time becomes more prevalent. The subsequent impact that this has on flavour and the high percentage of European oak used to craft this expression, changes the direction and depth of character. The resulting complex whisky is laden with dried fruits and spices at an elevated strength of 53% ABV.

7 YEARS OLD PEAT SMOKED

The beautiful, rugged surroundings of our distillery have inspired smoke-filled aromas and flavours found in The Glenturret 7 Years Old Peat Smoked. American oak sherry seasoned casks build the confectionery sweetness from the new make spirit whilst delicate refill casks deliver the abundant smoky notes. Akin to the comforting shelter from a warm highland bothy on the fresh Loch Turret hills, the whisky’s peated character heightens and amplifies from the outside in.
